What Happens in Pediatric Occupational Therapy?

Pediatric occupational therapy (OT) supports the development of skills children need to successfully participate in daily routines, learning activities at school, and play. Through individualized, goal-directed intervention, occupational therapy builds confidence, independence, and functional competence in meaningful activities.

Sessions are designed to strengthen visual-motor coordination, support self-regulation, develop executive functioning skills, and promote increasing independence so that children can engage more fully and confidently in everyday life.

You’ll receive a detailed evaluation report and treatment plan, which we’ll review together during a virtual parent meeting.

3. Begin Weekly OT Sessions

We’ll start the path of progress through 45-minute sessions filled with creativity and joyful progress.

Ashlee is fantastic! I highly recommend her. She worked with my son to help him prep for Kindergarten, and she helped him master his pencil grip and other fine motor tasks (zipping, etc). She is so upbeat and also clearly knows what she is doing! Can't say enough good things about her! —Abbie Ames
