Hi, I’m Ashlee!

I’m a licensed pediatric occupational therapist in Westerville, OH and the owner of ColorfullyEnthused* LLC, a woman and veteran-owned private practice dedicated to anchoring kids today so they can fly tomorrow.

For over a decade, I’ve worked with children ages 5–12 to build independence, confidence, and joy through occupational therapy sessions that feel personal, meaningful, and fun! My sessions are full of laughter, creativity, and encouragement–because I believe that therapy should feel like something kids want to do, not something they have to do.

Before opening The ColorfullyEnthused* Therapy Studio, I spent ten years in the education system, where I became a handwriting expert and developed a niche for helping kids thrive in everyday life. My specialties include visual and fine motor skills, self-regulation, and executive functioning, which are the foundational skills that kids need to participate fully at home, at school, with friends, and in life.

What Does an Occupational Therapist Do?

An occupational therapist helps children build the skills they need for everyday life: everything from the visual and fine motor coordination required for handwriting and cutting with scissors to the focus and emotional regulation required to complete multi-step tasks, transition between activities, and complete daily routines.

Taking a whole-child approach, I look at more than just the challenge in front of us. Understanding the roles your child plays in his or her variety of contexts, I meet them right where they are and help them see how far they can go. Every session is purposefully designed to create a match between your child’s unique personality, their interests, and their needs–while building confidence by celebrating small, yet mighty, meaningful victories. Here’s what that looks like in practice:

  • -We identify what’s making everyday activities hard (and why).

  • -We create a plan that builds upon your child’s strengths and addresses their weakness

  • -We celebrate progress continuously, in a way that makes hard work feel fun!

How Occupational Therapy Helps Kids Shine

Occupational therapy (OT) is about more than just building skills; it’s about developing children's confidence to participate fully in their world.

Occupational therapy can help your child:

  • Strengthen visual and fine motor coordination to improve cutting, drawing, buttoning, zipping, and handwriting

  • Develop focus and attention for multi-step tasks, body awareness, and organization across home and school environments

  • Increase self-awareness, emotional regulation, work tolerance, and expand coping tools to deal with the demands of life

  • Gain confidence to succeed across environments despite personal challenges or sensory processing differences

  • Learn strategies that support transitions within daily routines and overall classroom performance

Every child deserves to feel proud of who they are and what they can do. Through individualized, purposefully curated sessions of evidence-based intervention activities, we work hard, turn challenges into opportunities for growth, and ensure kids feel joy along the way.

Why ColorfullyEnthused*?

I started ColorfullyEnthused* LLC because I saw too many families stuck on long waitlists, getting lost in the education and healthcare systems, and feeling frustrated by a lack of results. At The ColorfullyEnthused Therapy Studio, families are seen, supported, and celebrated. Therapy should be something kids look forward to, not something they dread.

EXPLORE SERVICES

I promise the following to each of my clients and families:

  • Consistent, one-on-one care with the same trusted therapist each week.

  • Clear communication and weekly progress notes you can actually understand.

  • Creatively designed sessions that your child will enjoy, amidst the hard work they put forth.

  • A genuine belief in every child’s potential, no matter where we start.

Beyond the Studio

When I’m not in the therapy studio, you’ll probably find me soaking up life with my two favorites: my husband and our dog, Tate.

I’m also an officer in the United States Navy and a big believer in balance and basking in the good stuff of life, such as journaling my everyday experiences, cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals, cuddling with my pup on the couch while reading a good book, spending time with my nieces and nephews, and singing along to loud music in my bright yellow Jeep.

I love ice cream and pizza, fountain Diet Coke and peanut M&Ms, date nights and motorcycle rides, fresh flowers and all the pens, and any excuse to make something creative. My life, much like my studio, is full of color and big smiles because I believe deeply that every day of life is worth living, remembering, celebrating, and sharing.
